Our Team

Watoto Pre-School’s day to day delivery is led by two child care industry veterans Sharon Brown and Lillian Linton who have 40+ year experience between them of pre-school education and childcare.

Sharon Brown – Service Manager & Safeguarding lead

Sharon has a BA Hons Degree in Childhood Studies and a BETEC National in Early Years qualification. She has been a major driving force in Watoto PreSchool development and growth since its inception in 1996. Sharon has taken the helm and stirred the day to day service delivery through the challenges of the economic downturn and the many changes in national and local policies impacting on the early year’s sector.

Lillian Linton – Deputy Manager & SENCO lead

Lillian has a BETEC National in Early Years qualification and NVQ 4 level in Early Years, Care and Education. She has been a leading light in taking forward the development and building Watoto Pre-Schools reputations for our Special Education Needs and School Transitions services.

Early Years Practitioners

Watoto Pre-School has a long-standing and dedicated team of early years’ practitioners with qualifications ranging from NVQ level 3 to Early Years Teacher Status at Degree level. We encourage the continuous professional development of our staff team.  All our staff team have trained in the key health and safety areas (ie Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection). Several of our team members are multi-lingual which brings added value to our service.

All children at Watoto PreSchool are allocated a key worker, the key worker will take prime responsibility for your child and will understand your child’s individual needs. At the end of each day, your child’s key worker will fill you in on the day’s activities and what fun and progress they have made during the day.
